Volunteers are planting fruit, forest, and medicinal tree saplings on the premises of madrasas and mosques in Mymensingh and Netrokona in honor of the Father of the Nation and his family members on the occasion of National Mourning Day on August 15. We do not stop just by planting. Attended for a long time.
Our ongoing greening program is aimed at reaching every corner of the beloved motherland. In continuation of this, the volunteer team of "Muktir Bondhn Foundation" has planted trees in different areas today.
After a long period of preparation, on-the-spot inspection and planning, the Muktir Bondhon Foundation volunteers launched a wildlife rescue operation with the "Wildlife Crime Control Unit, Banabhaban, Agargaon" in Purbadhala upazila of Netrokona district yesterday. During the night operation, 175 birds including rare Dahuk, Kalim, Kbura and blue dove were rescued from the houses of the bird hunters. Hundreds of cages and equipment used for bird hunting were destroyed. The rescued birds were released at Bangabandhu Safari Park.
Ignoring the heavy rains, the volunteers planted Arjuna, Hartaki, Neem, and Amalki trees in the mosque premises in memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the martyrs of 15th August.
The crematorium is the burial place of Hindus. The last rites of the followers of Hinduism are performed in this crematorium. But the Atharbari central crematorium was overgrown with weeds due to a lack of conservation. Information about the dilapidated condition of this place, which is sacred to Hindus, reached our volunteers. After making all the arrangements at once, the volunteers cleaned the weeds all day and planted 100 betel nuts, 4 black beads, 1 bell, 5 Kamini, 5 nightshades, 1 sandalwood, and 1 bud tree saplings around the crematorium. With regular care, the seedlings will one day be decorated with leaf litter and take on a different look.
We reached out to children in remote areas of the village with information about the Animal Crime Prevention Act. Just like they are children, wild animals are also children of nature. Wildlife is not our enemy but our absolute friend. After learning various information about wildlife, they said to themselves, we will not hunt wild animals, we will not allow anyone to hunt.
Today's Ananda Mohan College was under the slogan "Protect wildlife, build a country dependent on nature". Due to lack of awareness the child wildlife of nature was on the verge of extinction. Today, thousands of students have taken an oath to protect those animals. Sincerely attended by teachers, students, various voluntary organizations and invited guests, the Wildlife Crime Suppression Unit (Forest Department) and Muktir Bondhon Foundation organized a "Public Awareness Seminar on Wildlife Conservation".
On the day of victory, children were gathered in remote areas and various gifts were handed over to them. Besides, the importance of conservation of the environment, forests,s, and wildlife was highlighted and the glory of the liberation war was sung.
On the first day of the roadshow, a joint initiative of the Wildlife Crime Control Unit, Forest Department, and Muktir Bondhon Foundation, speeches and leaflets were being distributed at various places in Mymensingh, Shyamganj and Netrokona. It is to be noted that the roadshow starting today will continue for 3 days and the campaign will continue in different areas of Mymensingh, Netrokona, and Sylhet. The roadshow is led by ASM Zahir Uddin Akon, Director, Wildlife Crime Control Unit, and Dr. Nasir Uddin (Wildlife Specialist) of Mukti Bandhan Foundation, Md. Zakir Hossain, Assistant Professor, ARM Mujahidul Haque, Lecturer, Department of Zoology, Anand Mohan College, and volunteers.
The only surviving forest in Mymensingh is the Santoshpur forest. Wherever you go, you can easily see wildlife. The monkeys in particular are very friendly. That is why a lot of tourists come every day. Due to lack of knowledge of the policy, tourists behave in a way that is harmful to the forest and wildlife. That's why our volunteer team has set up two long-lasting billboards with policies for tourists. We hope that the incoming tourists will abide by the policy. Because, if there are animals, the country will survive, the environment will be protected.
On World Wildlife Day on March 3, a special colorful rally was organized in Mymensingh under the theme "Saving Fauna for the Existence of the Earth". The rally was attended by advisers and volunteers of Mukti Bandhan Foundation and senior officials of district administration, Mymensingh forest department, and police administration.
Recently, a picture of a young man killing a fisherman went viral on social media. Some find joy in killing and some save or set free. We are on the second team. The eyes of thousands of volunteers are always on the protection of active wildlife. Today, a small volunteer came to the notice of the fish bird caught in the net and scattering. At the moment, he rescues them carefully and takes care of them as much as possible, and releases them into nature. Their joy is in liberation. That is one of our objectives.
An awareness meeting was held at Lathiamari Bazar today on the initiative of Muktir Bondhon Foundation and Wildlife Crime Control Unit in connection with the recent killing of dolphins at Jaduwarchar in Rajibpur under Ishwarganj Police Station in Mymensingh district. The meeting was attended by officials of the Wildlife Crime Control Unit and Mymensingh Forest Department, including volunteers from Muktir Bondhon Foundation. The importance of dolphins and wildlife was highlighted at the meeting as well as the punishment for wildlife crimes.
Unveiling and Distribution Ceremony of Nature-Friendly Alphabet Education Book 'Prokritir Path'
On the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu, the program got off to a good start by distributing the book "'Prokritir Path' among the children at Haimanti Auditorium of Bon Bhaban. Mr. Md. Zahir Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests (Retd.) And Advisor to the Foundation presided over the unveiling ceremony of the book "Nature-Friendly Alphabet Education Book" written by Mukti r Bondhon Foundation.

The sick Black Kite was rescued from Rambabu Road in Mymensingh on January 30, 2021 at 5:00 pm. The bird is cared for 4 days with first aid. When the bird recovers, it is released into the open air in the presence of volunteers.
Dr. Nasir, a wildlife researcher, said the bird may have been suffering from poisoning or indigestion.
The mega project of tree planting on a 2.5 km unpaved road was inaugurated.

Today, on the occasion of International Forest Day, a greeting rally was held from the town hall junction of Mymensingh to the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
A discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) after the rally under the chairmanship of the Divisional Forest Officer(DFO) . Volunteers of Muktir Bondhon Foundation, school and college students, individuals from various social organizations, and invited guests spoke on the importance of forests.
